What is then the church of God? In John 14:6 God tells us that there is only one way to acquire salvation. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me," Jesus tells us that not a soul can inherit the kingdom of God, if we will not believe and accept Him as our Savior. He is the only way to attain eternal life and to live in the new Heaven and Earth. Not our good deeds can save us, but salvation is the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8), that every person who will accept the invitation (accept Jesus), will be the one to commit salvation; that is already prepared by God. Salvation is a free gift and we must accept the free grace that God bestowed for us. We recognize that there in only one way to salvation and that is Jesus. The fact is that, there´s only one church/religion that is pure in so many churches and religions of today (James 1:27).There's only one way and one church that Jesus has established.
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Matthew 7:13, 14. Jesus tells us the way that leads to life and destruction. He explains that the right way that leads to eternal life is narrow. Narrow because it´s difficult to find, and difficult to follow; that´s why only few who can find it. The way of destruction is wide and broad; because it´s very easy to follow (no commandments to follow) and difficult to avoid. Isn´t it several churches of today accept false doctrines (doctrines that is not valid unto God)? We ought to seek the narrow gate; which is the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, because His the only way to the kingdom of God. As Jesus is the way, we have to follow Him. We should imitate His life as He was on this world. We must keep His commandment as He bids us to do (John 14:15). It´s very obvious that there is only one church that is pure, genuine, and has the faith of Christ. If all religion will be saved by Christ as almost person believed, then the word of God is fraud. It´s very obvious that the true religion has a testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ. Understand what John the revelator has written "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12. A true church has a faith of Jesus and follow the commandments which He established. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them" Matthew 7:20.
When Adam and Eve were fallen as a result of disobedience, sin begins in humanity. The story begins in this manner, "Now the serpent was craftier than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, ´Did God really say, "You must not eat from any tree in the garden?""(Genesis 3:1).In this verse we can observe the main strategy of the enemy. He does not really show himself as he really is. He disguises himself, he hides himself; he pretends, he changes his appearance. The serpent was the most beautiful creature of all creation. It was not the disgusting reptile that it is today. It crawls on the ground today as a result of the curse that befell it after sin (Genesis 3:14). But before this, the serpent was a creature of such extraordinary beauty that Eve did not have any reason to be afraid or to flee. The enemy seemed to be a friend. The serpent was pleasant company. This is how it was at creation. This is how it has been throughout history, and certainly, it will be the same in our days.
The Bible affirms that "the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8). And it adds that he "masquerades as an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). Do not think that if he wants to enlist you in his army for the great battle of all time, he will identify himself by his true name. No. He will come to you disguised as something marvelous and attractive. It can be through a nice theory, and astonishing philosophy, a fascinating religion, or even an angel of light.
The Bible declares that the enemy does not disguise only his person; he also disguises his objective. He did not tell Eve that he was there to destroy her and to bring disgrace to future generations. He simply led here to the ground of religion. He used the Word of God. However, he twisted it. "Did God really say, ´You must not eat from any tree in the garden?´" (Genesis 3:1). God had not said this. But the enemy made a slight change, ever so slight a change, in what God had said. Do you see? He is a religious devil. He accepts the Word of God. He does not deny it nor does he fight against it. He only twists it just a little, enough to create mistrust. "You do not need to be so radical! The Word of God cannot be taken so seriously. Come on, Eve! What is the difference between this tree and the other trees in the garden? Besides, they are all trees, aren"t they?"
The next step of the serpent, after having undermined Eve´s confidence in the Word of God, was to lead her to the grounds of disobedience. "Eat the fruit. Don´t be afraid. Nothing is going to happen to you. Eating a simple piece of fruit is not something that is morally wrong. God is so busy with the vast universe that He will not have time to concern Himself with such an insignificant detail."
Satan centered the discussion on the fruit. Apparently he was right. It was a simple piece of fruit. But what was in question was not the fruit but the disobedience. It is very easy for a human being to become distracted with the exterior that he forgets the profound reality of the things that are not seen.
This is a world at war. There are two forces trying to conquer the human heart. God says, "You will die." Satan affirms, "You will not die." God advises, "Do not eat." Satan contradicts, "If you eat, you will be like God." There are two forces, and you are between them. Your heart and your mind are the final objective of these two commanders. The war began in heaven and was transferred to Earth, and whether we like it or not, you and I are involved. There is no way to escape from this conflict. There is no way to remain indifferent. We need to choose one side or the other. This is the great challenge for us.
My friend, please remember this, that Satan is a religious Devil. He attracts and pleasing us something delightful and leads us to destruction. He wants us to be in affliction. He frustrates us and leads us in misery. In the great battle of the centuries, the enemy will repeat the same strategy. He will lead humanity that all religion is all the same. He says "Come on guys ‘what´s the different of this religion of the other religion on this world?". He will deceive us to destruction. What do you think that there is a lot of religion nowadays? It´s the Devils cunning device. He will let us think that all religion is of God; that God had made all of these religions. Notice how he deceive Eve; he talk about false religion "If you eat the fruit, you will be like God." And he adds "Don´t be afraid of religion. Nothing is going to happen." Actually he is right. But the question "Is that religion of yours is of God? Does it have the true principles which God authorize? " God has a religion, and Satan has too. If God has a way, Satan will make a way too. If God says "Do not eat", Satan contradicts "Eat and you´ll become like God." If God has a true church, Satan has a counterfeit. We need to seek the church of God. Investigate whether your religion is of God; which possess true religion. Evaluate your religion if it has the principle that God desires.
Which one do you want to follow, God or Satan?
